("Silly closer tricks." A photo of Chad Cordero courtesy of the great @misschatter.)
Break out your flat-brimmed caps, NatsTown: According to a source who knows stuff and is usually right, Chad Cordero will be invited by the Washington Nationals to throw out the first pitch at Nationals Park on Friday, July 20th, against the Mets (also, it's Miller Lite Beer Stein night?). Score another point for the folks in the Washington Nationals' PR/Marketing departments: First the Take Back the Park campaign, now bringing back Chief. Seems they're starting to "get it"; and that's a good thing.
Anyway, you might recall the Nats Enquirer interview with Cordero from a few weeks ago: He'll be returning to the Washington DC area this summer, participating in Bethesda Big Train’s Celebrity Baseball camp from July 16 to July 20 at Cabin John Park in Bethesda. More information about the camp is available on the Big Train website.
Meanwhile, Cordero, who is now coaching HS baseball back home in Cali, apparently "carved up" his team yesterday:
Definitely not fair. Here's to hoping for Chief comes back to pro ball in 2013...
And if you aren't following @ChadCordero32 on Twitter, your NatsTown citizenship card is being pulled...
The least they can do is have a bobblehead for him that night.

That is great news. I plan on being there as well.
Many thanks to NatsEnquirer for keeping us informed. Where else can I get a daily fix of Bryce Harper!

Looks like this is going to be a great camp. There is also stuff going around that he has networked with his buddies about coming out and helping him with this camp. Former and current players in one place. Go ahead Chad!!
