Philly sports blog CrossingBroad had a, well, very Philadelphian reaction to news that the Nationals were making it possible for season ticket holders who can't use their tickets to next weekend's "Take Back the Park" series to donate them to military members. (Note: love or hate the #Ourpark campaign, and the goofy Natitude campaign, and Andy Feffer using "With Natitude" as his closing for the above letter to season ticket holders, one of the things the Nationals have always consistently done right since 2005 is recognizing and honoring the miliatry.) Via CrossingBroad, this is all part of a grand conspiracy by Feffer (Note: the Nationals allow season ticket holders to donate their unused tickets for EVERY game, regardless of the opponent):
Amateur hour here.
The Washington Nationals are offering fans who can't use their tickets the opportunity to hand them over to military members...
Feffer’s little we need butts in seats so let’s hide behind this tickets-for-troops thing because no one will have the balls to criticize us for something like that thing is so transparent.
Feffer really seems to have touched a nerve with Phillies fans. Next question: How many games out of first place will the Phillies be by next weekend?
