Remember when Bryce Harper first arrived to Spring Training with the Nationals in February 2011, and the crush of fans his first day caused some media members to compare the Harper Hype to Bieber Fever? Well, here we are more than a year later, and here's a video of young lady turning Justin Bieber's "If I was your boyfriend" into an ode to Bryce Harper: "If I was your girlfriend..." etc. with lines about #34 and: "Gonna make you shine bright like you're rookie of the year." You get the idea.
Meanwhile...Washington Post's Adam Kilgore registers a must-read story on Harper's first month in the big leagues. Seems like the kid is fitting right in. Story also includes this creepy quote from Davey Johnson on Harper's age:
"The only way I know he’s young is when I look over at some of the girls. They call themselves ‘Harper’s Hotties’ or something. They look like they’re about 16."

I've been saying this over and over about Davey's comment about the Harper Hotties looking like they are 16 years old: They might actually BE 16 years old. Bryce is only 19. If he hadn't graduated high school early, he's be finishing his freshman year of college. I've know of plenty high school girls who crush and flirt with the college boys.
