Phillies claim sole possession of third place in NL East

And so, the Nationals roll into Philly for a three game series this weekend. Hopefully Gio Gonzalez found some decent food options last night upon arrival. Oh, and congratulations to the Philadelphia Phillies, who nabbed sole possession of third place in the NL East for the first time since April with a hard fought 4-3 victory over the Reds in 11 innings last night. via Philadelphia Inquirer:

Naturally, a John Mayberry Jr. single won it, pushing the Phillies into sole possession of third place in the National League East for the first time since April 12. (The season was six games old that day.)
