They say nothing captures the excitement of Spring Training like a raccoon on the loose.
Actually, nobody says that. However, there was a raccoon on the loose at Space Coast Stadium on Monday, which qualifies as excitement given the quiet spring so far for the Nats. In the photo above via Alfred Suidae, a trapper bagged the offending critter. Of course, you'll remember it was just a couple of days ago that another raccoon was trapped in a camera well next to the Nats dugout at Space Coast Stadium.
So let's see: so far we've had fish falling from the sky, a freshwater eel caught by Ryan Mattheus, a swarm of bees, and several raccoons. Next logical step seems to be: gators. Be safe, everybody. How many days until Opening Day again?
