The sun rises, the sun sets, and Jayson Werth suffers another injury due to...dehydration? Up above, Jayson Werth giving the cut sign to the Nats dugout after his base hit in the fourth inning.
"I think it’s a situation where I’ve been kind of sick the last couple of days, haven’t really eaten a whole lot, probably pretty dehydrated."
(Jayson Werth, via Washington Times, 6/23/2013)"Earlier in the ballgame when he went for a ball down in the rightfield corner he said he said he pulled his left groin. Then when he was coming down the box he tweaked it again. And so, I didn't know, it looked like he was messing with his right groin...that's all I needed for him to be running out there...didn't want to lose him. But didn't want him to pull something worse. It was a groin pull."

More Werth on dehydration:
"You play this game every day, you play in the heat and you got to go through things. You play when you’re dehydrated, you play no matter what. Unfortunately the last few times I’ve chosen to do that, I’ve tweaked or pulled a muscle. But hopefully this time, it won’t be that big of a deal."

Seems like only last month Jayson Werth had a stomach bug and then got injured and blamed it on dehydration. What's a guy gotta do to get a drink of water around here? Maybe we can also blame Dan Haren's abysmal season and trip to the DL to dehydration?
