And so, Stephen Strasburg summed up his performance in the Nats 6-3 loss to the Mets on Thursday as follows during his post game interview:
"I don't think anything went wrong. I feel like the contact they made, it was a lot of very weak contact, and that's just how baseball is sometimes."
So we'll just chalk this one up to bad luck, with a little help from Ian Desmond. In any case, Strasburg's line (5.1 IP, 9 H, 6 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 5 K) was perfectly suited for a #3 starter. Matt Harvey's line, on the other hand (6 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 9 K), was pretty Ace-like.
