With news that Livan Hernandez will not make it to Washington to throw out the ceremonial first pitch for NLDS Game 1, speculation has been rampant about the identity of the "surprise guest".
Sources with no knowledge of the situation report that former Nats manager Jim Riggleman is the surprise guest in question, that he plans to promptly call for a double switch and then quit halfway on his walk to the mound. Riggleman plans to watch NLDS Game 1 from Caddies in Bethesda.
Another source with a little more knowledge of the situation tells us it'll be another former Nats manager (no, not you Manny Acta).
