Danny Espinosa made news during the offseason for growing a massive beard. Then he arrived to Spring Training and shaved it off. Then 5 minutes later he regrew the beard again, and it seemed to be well on its way to being massive again.
Sadly, Danny Espinosa has shaved his beard again. There he is above as seen on TV Friday night against the Reds. And here's Danny and his beard on Thursday afternoon:

Now, we've probably reached the point where Nationals players showing up to post-game interviews on TV wearing Beast Mode gear is old hat. But given Ian Desmond's 9th inning heroics on Sunday (after his error Saturday night -- on Ian Desmond bobblehead night, no less --- opened the floodgates for the Phillies), it only seems fair to point out that Desmond ducking out of the way of a certain HBP, only to follow up with a game-tying HR is the essence of beast mode as we understand it.
